一、形容詞和副詞的基本用法
（一）形容詞的基本用法
1.形容詞作前置定語(yǔ)
形容詞一般置于它所修飾的名詞之前。
The boy spent all of his free time playing electronic games.
這個(gè)男孩所有的空余時(shí)間都在打電子游戲。
2.形容詞作后置定語(yǔ)
在某些情況下，形容詞須置于它所修飾的名詞之后。
（1）形容詞短語(yǔ)作后置定語(yǔ)。
I know an actor suitable for the role.
我認識一個(gè)合適這個(gè)角色的演員。
（2）表語(yǔ)形容詞作后置定語(yǔ)。
常見(jiàn)的表語(yǔ)形容詞有afraid, alike, alone, asleep, awake, alive等。
He is Lei Feng alive.
他就是活雷鋒。
（3）修飾不定代詞時(shí)后置
I have something important to say.
3.多個(gè)形容詞作定語(yǔ)的順序
限定詞－數量詞（基數詞－序數詞）－描繪形容詞－尺寸大�。螤睿屡f、年齡－顏色－國籍、出處－質(zhì)地、材料+用途（＋名詞）
e.g. 這張紅色的、中式的舊木桌是我奶奶的，它又大又漂亮。
This beautiful big old red Chinese wooden table was my grandmother’s.

4.形容詞作表語(yǔ)，位于系動(dòng)詞之后
They were kind and nice. 他們善良友好。
5.形容詞做賓語(yǔ)補足語(yǔ)
We must keep our classroom clean. 我們必須保持教室干凈。
（二）副詞的基本用法
1.副詞一般用作狀語(yǔ)，修飾動(dòng)詞、形容詞、副詞以及全句。
The sun rises slowly in the east.
太陽(yáng)緩慢地從東方升起。
2. 副詞可以分為以下幾種：
①時(shí)間副詞：now, today, then, soon等。
②地點(diǎn)副詞：everywhere, upstairs, outside等。
③頻度副詞：always, often, usually, seldom, never等。
④程度副詞：much, quite, pretty, too, very等。
⑤方式副詞：clearly, slowly, politely, suddenly等。
⑥疑問(wèn)副詞：when, where, how, why等。
⑦關(guān)系副詞：when, where, why等。
3. 形容詞變?yōu)楦痹~的規則如下：
①一般情況下，在形容詞后加-ly。 careful→carefully; quick→quickly
②以“輔音字母＋y”結尾的單詞變y為i，加-ly。 easy→easily
③一般以不發(fā)音字母e結尾的單詞直接加-ly。complete→completely
④以le結尾的去e加y。 possible→possibly
二、形容詞和副詞的比較等級
1. 同級比較：肯定句中一般用as...as...結構，意為“和……一樣……”；否定句中經(jīng)常用not so/as...as...，表示“不如……”。
注意：as...as之間一定要用形容詞或副詞的原級。
e.g. English is not so difficult as Russian.
英語(yǔ)不如俄語(yǔ)難。
He runs as quickly as Su Bingtian.
他跑得和蘇炳添一樣快。
2. 比較級用法
①“形容詞比較級+than...”，可以用“much, even, a lot, any, still, a bit, a little, a great deal, far”等副詞修飾形容詞比較級。
The weather of this year is a lot hotter than that of last year.
今年比去年熱很多。
②主語(yǔ) + 動(dòng)詞 + the 比較級 + of the two.
表示兩者之間進(jìn)行選擇時(shí)，
用句型:Which / Who+be / 動(dòng)詞+ 比較級, A or B?
Tom is the taller of the two boys.
Who is taller, Tom or Jack?
③The + 比較級，the + 比較級,，表示“越……越……”。
e.g.The harder he works, the happier he feels.
他越努力學(xué)習，越感覺(jué)快樂(lè )。
④比較級 + and + 比較級, 表示“越來(lái)越……”。
e.g. He studies harder and harder.
他學(xué)習越來(lái)越努力。
... ... ...
