1 in front of…在……前面
[觀(guān)察] The chair is in front of the desk. 椅子在書(shū)桌的前面。
There is a tall tree in front of the classroom.
教室前面有一棵大樹(shù)。
There is a desk in the front of the classroom.
在教室的前面有一張書(shū)桌。
[探究] front作名詞，意為“前面；正面”。常用短語(yǔ)為in front of…，意為“在……前面”，指某一范圍之外的前面。
[辨析] in front of 與in the front of
(1)in front of指在某范圍外部的前面。
(2)in the front of指在某范圍內部的前面。
