【辨析】at the end of，in the end與by the end of
①at the end of意為“在······的末尾；在······結束時(shí)”，可以表示時(shí)間，也可以表示地點(diǎn)。

②in the end意為“最后；終于”，與at last和finally同義。
eg：In the end he passed the exam.最后他終于通過(guò)了考試。

②意為“既然”，引導原因狀語(yǔ)從句。
eg：As long as you want to stay at home，let's play chess at home.既然你想待在家里，那就讓我們在家下棋吧。
