Language points
1. The elderly man looks for his ticket in his pocket, his bag and finally in his wallet.
那位老人在口袋里、包里、錢(qián)包里找他的車(chē)票。
elderly, 形容詞，是委婉用語(yǔ)，意為“上了年紀的”，外國人一般不說(shuō)old man而用elderly man代替，the elderly泛指老人。
elder指“年長(cháng)的(尤指家庭成員之間)”，只能修飾人；在句中作定語(yǔ)，不能作表語(yǔ)；elder不能和than連用。 older既可修飾人，也可修飾物；在句中既可作定語(yǔ)，也可作表語(yǔ)；older可以和than連用。
根據句意，用older或elder填空:

have sth. ready 表示“把某物準備好”。
