1.All of a sudden,WHAM!
all of a sudden意為“突然”,相當于suddenly,常在句中作狀語(yǔ),說(shuō)明某一動(dòng)作發(fā)生時(shí)的情況。
wham在本句中為感嘆詞,意為“砰,嘭”,它還可用作名詞,表示“重擊聲,重擊”;用作動(dòng)詞表示“重擊,砰砰地打”。
2.I went down hard on my right side.
go down在本句中意為“倒下”。
【拓展】 go down還可意為“下去,蹲下,下降”。
on在本句中意為“憑借,靠”,side意為“(身體)側邊,肋”,on my right side在這里指“我以右側身體著(zhù)地”。
3.“There’s something wrong with me,”I thought.
“There’s something wrong with…”意為“……有問(wèn)題”,相當于“Something is wrong with…”,其否定式為“There is nothing wrong with…”或“There isn’t anything wrong with…”。

②so much/little+不可數名詞+that從句
(2)so…that句式在修飾可數名詞單數時(shí)還可以用在下面的句式中:
so+形容詞+a/an+可數名詞單數+that從句。
lie down意為“躺下”。
