◆have been doing sth.是現在完成進(jìn)行時(shí),意為“一直在做某事”,表示從過(guò)去某時(shí)開(kāi)始的某個(gè)動(dòng)作或狀態(tài)一直延續到現在,而且還在進(jìn)行。常常表示動(dòng)作的延續性、重復性以及感情色彩等。

◆draw one’s attention意為“吸引某人的注意力”。

2.Here,as many as 230 million butterflies spend the winter. 

◆as…as…意為“與……一樣……”,兩個(gè)as之間可加形容詞或副詞的原級;也可加“many+復數名詞”,“much+不可數名詞”或“形容詞+a/an+單數名詞”,還可以在as…as…前加twice,half等詞表示前后者倍數或分數關(guān)系。as…as的否定形式為not as/so…as…。

◆spend為及物動(dòng)詞,意為“度過(guò),花(錢(qián)/時(shí)間)”,常用于固定結構:spend time/money(in)doing sth.花費時(shí)間/金錢(qián)做某事;spend time/money on sth.在某物上花費時(shí)間/金錢(qián);spend time with sb.和某人一起度過(guò)時(shí)光,句子的主語(yǔ)應為人,spend的過(guò)去式和過(guò)去分詞都是spent。

◆that return to the south和that left for the north都是定語(yǔ)從句。

◆leave for意為“動(dòng)身去……”。leave意為“離開(kāi)”,是位移動(dòng)詞,可使用現在進(jìn)行時(shí)表將來(lái);leave與表示一段時(shí)間的狀語(yǔ)連用時(shí),應改為be away(from)。
