1. Fantastic facts about the butterfly 

have been drawing Dr. Taylor’s attention.

這種令人著(zhù)迷的蝴蝶一直吸引著(zhù)泰勒博士的注意。

have been doing是現在完成進(jìn)行時(shí),“一直在做某事”,表示過(guò)去某時(shí)開(kāi)始的某個(gè)動(dòng)作或狀態(tài)一直延續到現在,且還在進(jìn)行。常表示動(dòng)作的延續性、重復性及感情色彩等。

e.g. Mr. Smith has been living in London since 1995. 

史密斯先生自從1995年以來(lái)一直住在倫敦。 (延續性)

Have you been meeting her recently?

你最近常見(jiàn)到她嗎?(重復性)

Who’s been eating my apples?

誰(shuí)吃了我的蘋(píng)果?(感情色彩)

draw one’s attention“吸引某人注意力”。

e.g. He tries to draw our attention to the painting.

他試圖把我們的注意力吸引到這幅畫(huà)上。

2. Here, as many as 230 million butterflies spend the winter.

在這里,多達兩億三千萬(wàn)只蝴蝶在這里過(guò)冬。

as…as “和……一樣”,表示同級比較;窘Y構為as+ adj. / adv. + as。

e.g. English words can be as short as one letter.

英語(yǔ)單詞可以短到只有一個(gè)字母。

This film is as interesting as that one.

這部電影和那部電影一樣有趣。

現在完成進(jìn)行時(shí)

現在完成進(jìn)行時(shí)表示動(dòng)作從過(guò)去某一時(shí)間開(kāi)始,一直延續到現在還未結束,F在完成進(jìn)行時(shí)有時(shí)也可用來(lái)表示經(jīng)常的、反復的動(dòng)作。 

(1) 結構:have / has + been + V-ing

(2) 與since或for引導的時(shí)間狀語(yǔ)連用;since后接動(dòng)作開(kāi)始的時(shí)間,for后面接一段時(shí)間;對since或for引導的時(shí)間狀語(yǔ)提問(wèn)時(shí)要用how long  。

(3) 否定形式是在have / has后加not構成,可縮寫(xiě)為haven’t / hasn’t。

(4) 一般疑問(wèn)句形式是將have / has提至主語(yǔ)前;肯定回答用“Yes, 主語(yǔ)+have / has.”,否定回答用“No, 主語(yǔ)+haven’t / hasn’t.”。

e.g. a. -How long have you been drawing?

-I have been drawing for two hours. 

b. -How long has Maria been playing the piano?

-She has been playing the piano since she was five years old. 

c. They haven’t been working since last month.

d. -Has he been living here? 

-Yes, he has. / No, he hasn’t.

定語(yǔ)從句

定語(yǔ)從句是在復合句中起定語(yǔ)作用, 修飾名詞、代詞或整個(gè)主句的從句。被定語(yǔ)從句修飾的詞叫先行詞。引導定語(yǔ)從句的關(guān)系詞有關(guān)系代詞(that, which, who, whom, whose等) 和關(guān)系副詞(where, when, why)。

關(guān)系詞在定語(yǔ)從句中的作用:

①連接主句和定語(yǔ)從句;

②指代先行詞;

③在定語(yǔ)從句中充當一定的成分。

(1)關(guān)系代詞that與which 

在定語(yǔ)從句中,關(guān)系代詞that既可指人,也可指物,which一般用于指物。

在指物時(shí),二者一般可以互換,但非限制性定語(yǔ)從句中多用which引導。

e.g. The old town has narrow streets and small houses that are built close to each other.

That evening, which I will tell you more about later, I ended up working very late.  

(2)關(guān)系代詞who與whom

who指人,是主格,在定語(yǔ)從句中作主語(yǔ),一般可用that替換。

whom指人,是賓格,在定語(yǔ)從句中作  賓語(yǔ)。在口語(yǔ)和非正式文體中可用who 或that替換,也可以省略。
