There are four bedrooms and a study on the second floor. 在二樓有四個(gè)臥室和一個(gè)書(shū)房。
句型結構為“There is/are +某物/某人 +地點(diǎn).”，用來(lái)描述某處有某物/某人。這是There be句型的一般現在時(shí)結構，地點(diǎn)多為介詞短語(yǔ)。
當There be句型后面跟可數名詞單數或不可數名詞時(shí)，be動(dòng)詞用is；
當后面跟可數名詞復數形式時(shí)，be動(dòng)詞用are。
當句子中有幾個(gè)并列的主語(yǔ)時(shí)，be動(dòng)詞的形式要與離其最近的一個(gè)主語(yǔ)在數上保持一致，此種用法被稱(chēng)為“就近原則”。
例句：There is an apple on the desk.
桌子上有一個(gè)蘋(píng)果。
There are five oranges on the desk.
桌子上有五個(gè)橘子。
There is an apple and five oranges on the desk.
桌子上有一個(gè)蘋(píng)果和五個(gè)橘子。
